Geo's YJ build

Hey guys I just picked up a new YJ and mechanically its sound but the interior was in horrible condition. I decided since it was in my price range I'll simply paint it all pretty and call it a day... Mind you I've never really worked on any car before but I know how to read and cherry picked ideas on this forum.

Here's some pics of it:

Interior had some cheap pealing textured paint paint that felt like rubber. Maybe rusto bedliner?

It was coming off in some places and just overall horrible. I tried sanding it off and it would clog up everything I threw at it. Decided to strip it off. First I removed everything with a bolt.
See how it was?

Paint striper was painted in and left on about 20 minutes before I scrapped off this stuff.

Took me the better part of the afternoon in paint striper hell. Then i power washed it and started to sand down the remnants of paint.
At this point I noticed a small rust spot. I sanded it and to remove all traces of it and patched with fiberglass. I know I should of welded a new metal piece on but like a said I'm new to do and have never done any auto work in my life. Heck I'm an IT guy so even my job has me sitting all day.

With everything sanded I started applying primer. patch fitted to the area.

Primer in place: finally starting to come together. Was starting to doubt my decision of doing this project.

And finally laid in the monstaliner bedliner.

Overall I think I did fairly well for someone who's barely picked up a wrench in his life. Now its just a waiting game till I feel its dried enough to put everything back together.

Good work! Unfortunately it's a Jeep, so you probably won't be calling it a day. Lol
