Ideas for a nice yj

I have a 94 yj with a 4 cylinder 5 speed manuel trans the other day I had some comments that kinda opened my eyes to me kinda letting my Jeep go like not doing anything but oil changes and drive it well so I started thinking what would make my Jeep nicer and I’m kinda at a wall I have a 2.5 inch lift with 31 prelli scorpions witch are pretty aggressive tread but that’s all I have done I’m not a rock crawler or anything i just want a nicer looking Jeep that I can take hunting and off roading but idk what to do a new soft top is in my future and I tried bedlining the tub witch I’m going to have to redo because the arisol can bed liner sucks I’m pretty sure spray paint would have been better but anyways I just have small problems with it like exhaust manifold bolt broke so it leaks and exhaust rattles when I start in first and a little crack in my windshield and I need new speakers but I don’t have all the money in the world to spend I think it looks good but I want something a little better looking like rims bumpers lights or Chevy cavalier seats or fenders or fender flares any ideas on maybe some things that will make it look any nicer or cooler I can’t fabricate very well but I can weld I just don’t have a shop or welder or anything so I’m just looking for any ideas?????

It looks fine. Keep it clean and drive it.

Anything you do to 'spruce' it up, add ons, etc. just cost money and narrows your audience if you decide to sell.

-.

OTOH, headlight and ignition upgrades are money well spent. Not for the cool factor, but can extend the life of your electrical system and increased lighting, and won't detract from it's value.

As far as bedliner, it's a lot thicker when brushed on. And masking is kept to a minimum.

Custom painters don't screw up . . . they just add more graphics!

Headlight relay kit initially. It is plug and play.

It puts more power to the headlights, and takes the full voltage out of the switch.

Like everything in life, Keep it simple. If you're not into crawling (which I'm not) then build a clean beach cruiser. That's what i did and am doing.

Before and after. No lockers, d35 rear, nothing fancy. Just simple, the way my wallet and I like it. Fix it and replace as necessary. Not everyone wants to buy a jeep on 1 tons, think of resale value.

Resale value!!! People sell their Jeeps? I've had mine for almost 20 years.

Keep an eye on your local classifieds for wheels or bumpers. There are deals out there if you just keep your eyes open.

Ref headlights- look at Hella E-codes. They have a glass lens which means they won't cloud over. Get the relay kit to save your headlight switch. $125 total +/- a few bucks. Also, check Craigslist daily. I search YJ then I search TJ because a good number of TJ accessories will fit YJs.

Good luck, and more importantly, have fun building YOUR Jeep.
