My 87 YJ build

I just found a 1987 YJ for a project. Currently runs and drives pretty good. It’s got the i6 and I’m guessing the Peugeot five speed transmission.
I want to end up on 33s. Thinking about a 4 inch lift with 1 inch body lift
In time I would like to replace the engine and transmission

I would love to hear suggestions too.
My last Jeep was a JKU that came out nice, unluckily I had to have a pickup so this will be my Jeep ( cause you can’t be without a Jeep)

My first project was new Bestop front seats

Best part of this one was no serious rust! For Utah that’s rare.

So what’s next on the list...looks like you’re on 31’s already?

Yes, it is on 31’s but they rub a bit. It appears they did a Shackle loft but I don’t think they did the full lift. The Jeep sits higher in front and leans to the left.

My first project was to replace the seats, it’s so much nicer to drive with a seat with a back!

I’m currently trying to decide on a lift kit to put in it in a local dealer is having a pretty good discount on having the whole jeep rhino lined so I’m considering doing that in the next couple of weeks

Glad you got a seat in there that has a back too! Much safer...lol. Additionally, they do look really nice.

Sorry about the shackle job, that’s weird it would lean left, like they only put in the right front? Super weird.

By getting the whole jeep lined, do you mean inside and outside? If so, I’ve seen a few jobs like that and firstly, it looks amazing. Second, I’ve asked the people who have done the entire jeep what the weight added was. Unfortunately none of them were able to answer because they didn’t think to weight it before and after lining the entire thing. So if it’s not too much trouble, I’d love to know the before and after weights, if you are indeed lining the entire body...just out of curiosity.
