We torn down jeep and remove the engine differential etc and will replace it with a y60 engine (td42) and differentials from a 94 nissan patrol safari

I am putting up a 37-38" tires im thinking what would be the best wheel base for this build. its has to be drivable on the streets and hard trail. Should i retain the original wheel base? For the jeep to be stable and capable of climbing

Nounting the engine with the tranny.

Nissan patrol y60 seems to have big transmission

Engine bay still has room

Welded the engine support brackets

We custom made a cross member to fit and support the transmission. It has a portal design for the propeller and additional strength

This inspired me. Got it from a friends magazine.

As of now 06/20/2017

My mechanic suggests a two link with a panhard (stock configuration of a patrol) to hold the differential. Dont have any idea on this. Maybe you guys have a design on this and are the air shocks good for this?

I sure hope the Jeep body was level before using a level to cut. I've seen people make that mistake with bus conversions!

How much stretch did you end up doing and what did you do for steering? That is definitely not the stock steering box.

I used a steering for y60 nissan patrol. To shorten the bumper. Wheel base of the jeep center to center is 112” and it will have 38” tires.

Engine hoses done

Brake lines done also
( the three break lines are for the actuators to engage the factory rear diff lock from y60 nissan patrol. “ vacuum type”)

All gauges seems to work fine except for the RPM dont have the module for the diesel engine

That looks terrific. Nicely done!!!
Last time I was in The Philippines all I rode in were Jeepneys, and drank San Miguel beer at 10 cents a bottle - 11 cents if there was live music.
Me thinks that may have been a while back

But really, awesome job guys.
