2017 JKU Willys W AEV JK250

About 31 years ago (age 17 or so) I had saved up to go 50/50 on a used jeep with Dad. Days before we would go look at one, I rear ended an acura and proceeded to use all my funds to repair their car and our car. I never got my Jeep.

Fast Forward and my daughter is 16, I've been in pain for the past 6 years driving a Subaru and its time to pass it on. I could have gone practical as I do a lot of long distance driving to airports and living here in VT, but what is practical about being a 45yr old Male with 3 kids, mortgage and college looking down on us?

Enter the Willys. I had no intention of getting this build (I didn't build shit on it actually). I was going to get a Sport S with a 2.5" AEV lift with 35s so I could do some overlanding here in VT. No fancy bumpers, lights, etc.

With this being the only 2.5" JKU on the lot, it was my test drive vehicle. With it being a '17, there was a deal to be had. What was originally a trip to price out a Sport S, turned into me leaving my Subaru at the dealer for a few days so I could drive off the lot with this:

Needless to say, I have also added JKS quicker disconnects, a Warn XEON 10s winch and ACE rock rails. Also Grabbars front and back, a Bestop Trektop NX Glide. Seatcovers, radio replacement, Hi-lift to come.

My plan is to get into overlanding here in VT on the ancient class IV roads making day trips to breweries and places I can ride my Mtn Bike. Would love to eventually get a tent for the top, but I'll need to get rid a few kids first.
