After taking a 20 year hiatus it's nice to be part of the club again.

My first Jeep was a 95 Wrangler which I owned back in high school. I had a lot of fun times with that vehicle but had to eventually give it up due to life and responsibilities. Skip ahead 20 years and I was finally able to afford a new version. I look forward to adding my own personal touch to it as the list of mods I would like to make is already a mile long.

Very cool and welcome back to the JEEP world. I did the same as I had a 95’ in the late 90’s and went the motorcycle route until 2015 when I came back to JEEP’s.

Welcome (back) to the Jeep world!

As a fellow dad, I too have found a JKU to be a fantastic mix of family practicality with Jeep fun. And what better quality time with the family than on a Jeep adventure?

Nice looking Jeep

Cool

Congrats on getting back in the Jeep fold! I too had an in-line 6 manual '95 with squares as my first Jeep. Had it for 5 years and the modifications were frequent and endless. Ended up with 6" spring over lift, Detroit lockers, 4.56 gears and 40s. Replaced the tranny once after blowing it up in my cousin's rice and soybean fields in Louisiana having fun with the Southern Belles "back in the day". Had to go get their John Deer combine to yank me out. Even that was a blast (paying for the new trans, not so much). It's been a disease ever since then.................

Thanks guys, I know its not the most realistic family vehicle but that's what the wife's minivan is for right?

The hard part is not running out and purchasing every single mod that I see.

Of course it's a great family vehicle, that's why they made a 4 door!

Once you break the seal..............

My kids would disagree. lol. I had an '05 Rubicon for years when my 2 kids were little and we went everywhere as a family of four in it. They always wanted to take Dad's Jeep rather than Mom's sedan. I now have a '16 2 door and my kids are 18 and 21 and we still go everywhere in the Jeep!

Oh yeah, Welcome to the forum!
