"Before and after"

Here are a couple of pics of my 2017 JKU Smoky Mountain Edition.

The first is about 2 days after I purchased it. Bone stock but I had a plan for it.

[url=https://flic.kr/p/W2VKvr]20170730_120945

And after. Leveling kit, 34's and lots of smaller changes including a new softop.

That last picture was taken in Panama City FL at the 2018 Jeep Beach Jam just a couple of weeks ago. Took it out on one of the excursions and had a blast out in the sand.

Those are Falken Wildpeak AT3's 285/75/18. Those are the stock 18 inch wheels. I just liked the look well enough to feel that I didn't need to change them.

I'm with you, those wheels look great, I didn't realize they were 18s. Nice Build!

Thanks.
I went with the biggest tires I could get on those wheels which is why I went 34's instead of 35. The width is the limiting factor there.
I did the Teraflex leveling kit(1.5) and am debating going up to a 3 inch lift. I haven't had any rubbing issues or anything like that but once I got the tires on it just seems like it needs a little more lift.
I'm saving for bumpers now.

Nope. No issues at all. I was concerned that once I got it off road I might have some problems but I did the obstacle course at the Jeep Beach Jam and spent the day playing in the sand at the Intercoastal Waterway and hit every hill and hole I could find.

Nice, wish I would have looked into the 18 wild peaks instead of going with the 17 and new wheels altogether.

The Wildpeaks are gaining popularity as people see them on vehicles and of course the price. I got all 5 of mine for 1200 mounted and balanced.
The current Wildpeaks are the second generation of them. I had a set of the first gen on a pickup and they did great until they got over 25K miles. Then they started getting noiser and losing their grip.
The current version (AT3W's) claim to have gotten all that straightened out. They now have a 55000 mile treadwear. Only time will tell and at this point they are doing great.

I added plasti-dip hood stripes. I'm satisfied, but wish I went thicker.

I think 285/75/18s are considered 35s. I run them (Toyos) and they are bigger than most 35s Ive seen. I think the conversion comes out to about 34.8 x 11.2
