Jeep on Culp's Hill Gettysburg

My phtography skills need some work. This would have gone better if I had the sun behind me but then you could not have see from Culp's Hill. The Jeep is sitting in front of where the one Union soldier is sitting and behind the Jeep is the rock where the injured man is lying. Next time I will find the istorical painting first so I can get the orientation right. Just can't imagine 1,000's of men coming together right there for the Battle of Gettysburg. Brutal!

Here are the uncut pics (resized of course) - it was a beautiful day for a change. i really need to make sure the sun is behind me I think. The shadows wash it out too much, I reied a red filter but that REALLY made everything pink, especially the white Jeep!

I will have to mess around some more..

Great pics!

Stopped at Gettysburg on a 2 wheeled adventure a few years back... As you said, beautiful place. Definitely hard to imagine the chaos and scale of that battle.
