JKU on 35s with 3.5" lift and flat fenders?

Thinking of adding the MC GameChanger with RockSport shocks. Contemplating 2.5 vs 3.5.

I am on 16" wheels right now and don't want to add an entire new set of 17" wheels, so tire options are limited. Besides,

I don't want to blow out my axle, joints, etc. with 37s. I do have flat fenders, so my concern is that 35s will look super small on a 3.5" lift.

Does anyone have pics of a JKU with 35s, flat fenders and a 3.5" lift?

Thanks!

That looks great! I assume with the lift and the wedges you are in 3" territory?

Charles, thank you for the offer, but I saw a few photos of JKs with stock fenders and 3.5 already. My concern was specifically the flat fenders as they are visually much slimmer.

3.5" RK Springs. Poison Spyder fenders.

Sorry, only recent side shot that I have. Kind of thinking 37's on next set of tires.

a true 3.5" kit with 35's is too tall, IMO, and makes your tires look too small. I say go with 2.5's unless you plan on 37's sooner rather than later.

Agreed. One of the reasons I've left my factory fenders, if one day I switch to 37" then I'd get flat fenders.

Any of you willing to measure from the ground to the hard top? This is the setup I was looking at but wanted to make sure I can still fit it in my garage.

I have the soft top installed for now and it measures around 78"; remember the soft top "humps" actually sit like 2 inches higher than the hard top.

The factory antenna measured 80". Like many Jeepers my first mod was a stubby antenna but I went back to the factory as soon as I installed my lift, if the antenna fits then the Jeep fits.

I didn't think to ask for the antenna measurement--great thinking. Looks like I wont be getting a roof rack if I want to park it in the garage.

Thank you for taking the time to do that for me.

Agreed. I knew I was going to run 35s. When I was contemplating between a MC 2.5" lift and AEV 3.5" lift I figured with a 2.5" I would need flat fenders or to cut the stock ones etc. I looked at a ridiculous amount of Jeeps online and in person plus going off past Jeeps I've had with up to a 6" lift and 40s. Ultimately I decided to go 3.5", keep the stock fenders and apply that $$$ to a larger lift. Personally, I think it looks balanced and perfect. I am thrilled I went 3.5" and not 2.5". With trimmed rock rails and stock fenders, it's just right for me.

Update

So, I pulled the trigger on new 17" rims and went with 37's. Got 2 more weekends in at Hidden Falls and will now install the lift (3.5") and get the new wheels put on. Won't go wheeling (except for mall parking lots) until I get the front axle beefed up. Will post pics when done.

Thanks ya'll for helping in the decision.

While I thought that all pics you guys shared looked great I felt that getting the new rims was the best investment after all. I can beef up the axle for <$1,000 and be done with it...and then add lockers, re-gear, add larger breaks..........

Good call on the 3.5". you will never really be "done with it" pics.......
