My new 18' JK Granite Crystal

Hey guys - I just bought my new 18' JK and am loving it. I got it back from the shop yesterday after they installed new tires, wheels and a 3" lift. I chose Fuel Coupler wheels and Nitto Ridge Grapplers 35/12.5/20" tires. The lift is a 3" TrailFX. I'd never heard of them but the shop said it would be fine for what I wanted/needed. I'm not taking it off road and just wanted the look. So far its exactly the look I wanted and the ride is fine. What do you guys think??

I never heard of the lift either and that’s not a good thing.
The weight of those 20s will definitely affect your gas mileage and ride quality.
Good luck. Looks like you spent a lot of money without putting in the time to research. Hope it works out for you.

CINISI - the shop has been around for about 21 years and is very reputable. I've done about 120 miles since the wheels/tires/lift was done and the ride is what I expected. I realize that the gas mileage is going to go down - but I didn't buy a Jeep for the gas mileage. I will post again after a couple of thousand miles and give an update.

I know TrailFX makes winches, they're part of LKQ which also owns Warn (as of recent) didn't know they made lift kits though....??...??

There are businesses like Jeep dealers that have been around longer and they still don't know a thing about lifts. I wouldnt put a lot of faith into a company installing no name products.

I didn't realize it either so I went to the website. I did some research and figured I would give them a shot.

Your jeep looks great.
You should have said it was a metalcloak lift.. I bet your responses would be a lot different. Anyway, it seems you got the look you were after, and you have a shop you trust. Good deal.
Enjoy.!

Jeep looks good - really like that color. wish they would have had it available back when I bought my JKU.

“What do you guys think?” is what the OP asked.

Well - so far so good. I've put 1300 miles on it and everything is good. I like the look, the ride is fine and what I expected. I realize that the Trail F/X (MetalCloak) lift isn't the best BUT its perfect for what I wanted/needed. I LOVE the Jeep family and still get a kick out of all the "waves" I get from other Jeeps. I checked out Quadratec - that's gonna get me in trouble LOL. Thanks for the opinions - good and not so good.

I have the JL version of yours, but same color and look nonetheless. I went with Silver highlights on mine - tow hooks, Rugged Ridge spartan bumper pieces in silver, Hood latches, 2 tone leather seats and some exterior vinyl hood stripes.

I also had a 17 camaro SS in this same color and orange highlights oddly looked fantastic...lots of compliments. Looks like you have started the silver route on yours.

I need to post a pic instead of yapping about it!
