My new flares

Finally ditch those ugly mall crawler plastic fenders for some steel flats.

Gorgeous. Much cleaner look! I'm trying to prioritize all the things I want to change out on mine and fenders are definitely on the list.

They are all probably made by the same Chinese kid! Probably the same kid that made mine!

I have plastic fenders and a mall crawler, but at least I can say I built it myself ahaha.

On a serious note though, why would you think "plastic fenders" are for mall crawlers? I use plastic fenders because when I'm off-roading and encounter carnage the plastic gets damaged and not my body...I'll just rip them off and keep going. However if you take your jeep off road and encounter some carnage, I can guarantee you your metal fenders will definitely damage your body.

I like the look though!

I was picking about the mall crawler. Mine is a pavement princess lol. I never liked the plastic because it fades so bad and the clips break easy.

As far as installing it wasn't too bad at all the hardest part was on the left driver side getting the holes to line up on a couple but I was able to get that with bolting certain ones.

haha you're right! My bushwackers held up for the first year because it was in the garage, now that I dont fit in the garage the sun is taking a toll on them and it IS fading.

Oh yea. I had a set of Bushwackers on my 05 Jeep and I loved them but like you said if you didn't keep enough protection on them they fade like nobody's business to.

What I hated about the JK front and rear bumpers was anytime I ever drove in the rain I had to spend a week trying to get them to turn black again lol. They would almost turn white like they hadn't had anything on them in years.

Smittybilt XRC Flux fenders. A LOT of coverage, and these bolt into the sub-frame. Pain to install but very sturdy.

Thanks! A little pricy at around $410 per set (on sale), but well worth it. And it has the marker light spot ready for a little led. I got mine from Black Dog Offroad, out of Texas.
