Arrow Poison Spyder Hood Louver

Hey everyone new to the Forum by not JK's. Bought mine new in 2012 and still adding parts to it! I just installed a Poison Spyder hood louver and love the new aggressive look it has now, Post your pics also. I also made a YouTube video for anyone else wanting to try it on their own. Enjoy!

I think you might need to reupload your image. I've been thinking about getting a hood louver, but I'm curious if anything is unsafe when it rains or snows.

Have had mine for over 3 years and have had zero issues. I live in Idaho and receive quite a bit of snow/rain and even the car wash without issues. You should be fine.

Poison Spyder hood Louver and heat blanket

I finished my Poison Spyder louver install along with some Daystar vents on the sides.

Question for those who have installed the Poison Spyder - as their instructions are silent on the question:

Did you keep your hood blanked? I did on mine but as you can see from the photos its pretty well carved up. I tried to limit the cuts to only the necessary / functional areas but its still a lot of holes.

Any opinions on whether the heat blanket is even necessary?

Thanks!

The hood on my JK didn't even come with one from the factory.

You have to love that moment when you have your drill and hand and you're coming to the realization that you're about to put a hole in a perfectly good Hood with absolutely nothing wrong with it. I love the Jeep community! We all must be crazy...

Mine never came with the blanket so my answer would be no.
