Rough Country Bumper and Winch

Howdy. I had some parts come in yesterday. The Rough Country Shorty Bumper and their 9500LB winch. The bumper is without a doubt, heavy duty (weighing in at 103lbs). The factory fog lights of 2017 and 2018 models will not fit (as advertised). Some grinding or cutting will solve the fitting issue. For my Jeep Willys JK 2018, the fit of the bumper was not a simple “bolt on” as they advertised. The bolts of the RC bumper are fixed and the winch plate needed some adjustments (we used a plasma cutter) to get the holes to align. Additionally, the accessory bolt locations were painted, making the bolts very difficult to screw in. A “cheat bar,” was necessary to get the bolts in. As for the winch…no problems so far. I’ll be testing all of the equipment tomorrow when I do some wheeling. On a side note, there is a significant change in the handling of the Jeep due to the 186lbs weight difference up front. Lastly, there IS NOT a noticeable change in the rake, but I think that will come with time (sorry, no before or after measurements).
