Close to getting the AEV 3.5 RS lift, now time decide on the tires and wheels.

I like the MetalCloak, but the price exceeds the AEV by a lot.

I'm wondering the same thing for various lifts like the OME 2.5' light duty, and TF systems. I've heard most will net you an extra inch or so until the springs settle.

Depends how much extra weight you add to the Jeep, metal bumpers, armor, winch ect. The higher quality lifts will give you an actual 3.5" lift with all the extra weight added, so without it you will gain slightly more lift.

You should get a heavy duty tire carrier or HD tailgate hinge or that tire is going to bounce down the highway 1 day. That rim and tire you have is over 115lbs, the factory hinge is rated for 85lbs max.

For those with a 3.5" lift and 35" tires and 3.73 gears, any complaints? That's the setup I'm leaning towards when I pull the trigger on my next JK. Not really looking to get a Rubicon, so 4.10 is out of the question.

im kind of happy with mine but i do feel the lack of "power" in the take off, i do plan to regear at some point, i have the 3.8, if you get a newer model with the pentastar yoy are going to be ok.

I have the 3.6 with 3:21 gearing and while it is a pooch off the line, it's not like the Jeep is undrivable. This is the 6th vehicle I have owned that was lifted with at least 35" tires (3 have been Wranglers) and I have only ever regeared 1 of those 6 so I am accustomed to vehicles being under geared. It's doable but just not ideal. I could possibly see myself regearing down the road, but I also tend to not keep my vehicles long enough to justify the cost. If I regear it will be as a bonus because I was adding lockers anyways.
