Tank Rubicon - Before and After

2016 Rubicon....The stock BFG M/T's were soooo loud after 13K miles they had to go! So, if you are going to invest in new tires one may as well do some other things at the same time right?

This is my wife's ride and she didn't want it as big as my Jeep which has an AEV 2.5" lift so I went with the TF Performance leveling kit, 285/70 17" Nitto Ridge Grapplers and AEV Savegre in black.

Initially was going to go with the Savegre in Argent to stick with the OEM color scheme and not go with black like so many (my other Jeep included) but....AEV no longer offers that color at least in the Savegre wheel. We were both set on the Savegre so black it was.

Changed out the decals and Jeep emblem on the grill to black to match yesterday after a bath. Leveling kit and tires went on Friday so haven't driven it too many miles since but so far very happy with the TF kit feel. I had the spacer TF leveling kit on my Jeep before going with the AEV 2.5" and I liked the stance but was never really happy with the ride. The performance kit seems worth the extra $ over the spacer kit.

The Nitto Ridge Grapplers are fantastic. Quiet but with a great aggressive look and not too heavy either. Read some good reviews on them and decided to go with them. Very happy to be able to drive with the windows down and soon the top off and be able to enjoy it without the mind numbing noise of those M/T's!

Just wanted to share here....I LOVE how it turned out! The black definitely makes the look more aggressive overall. Most important of course....the wife is happy too!

The tank colored Jeep is what got the Jeep bug started with me. Love it!
