Long time lurker, first time poster here today! I am officially the proud owner of my first jeep, a 2004 LJ with 88k miles on it that I picked up today! A lot has been done to this jeep and I'm so excited to figure everything out and learn a ton about jeeping. I only have one picture so far and it's not great, so I apologize. But there are definitely more to come!

That's a very nice set up Reckincrue. How do you like the rack? I've been looking at them, but I'm trying to decide if it's going to be worth another mpg hit, and increased noise. I also like to remove the top in the summer, but I'm not sure how much of a pain it would be.

Sweet LJ. Love the color. But I might be a little impartial

Thank you! I've been fantasizing about a yellow jeep for years but once I decided to be picky and settle for nothing less than an LJ, being picky about the color too was just asking for a miracle 😂 I really love the blue though and I am so happy with her! Already went to some hills behind my house and tried out the 4WD, and took her to the beach for a bonfire 😍

You're welcome. My first Wrangler was yellow. When I bought my LJ, I was in the same boat. Didn't care about the color but lucked out and got a patriot blue one like you.

Got a full picture of my gorgeous girl! I tried her out on some light trails behind my house and had a lot of fun making some boys in a truck mad because I went up a hill that their cute little truck couldn't make it up 😂

Get used to truck owners being jealous. No matter how nice your truck is, when its 75+ degrees and/or there's an offroad trail involved, truck owners be jelly of Jeeps.

Well, I haven't really used it for anything so far, I just bought the jeep a week ago or so.

But I don't care much about gas mileage, and I if I want to remove the top I will use one of the other jeeps. I want to keep this one clean inside.

I do get a lot of compliments on the rack and I can see it being very useful when going camping!

That's a great looking LJ and congratulations on the find!

BTW, the reason you can't find any Yellow LJs is I've bought them all . . . Well, at least it feels like I'm attempting to.

Shortly after my tour overseas I was looking at an 07 jk with 22000 mi on it. was almost sold on it until I was crawling from beneath it and accidently pulled off the front bumper skin. The dealer just laughed and then began to school me on the difference between the 07's and up and the 06's and older. So he steered me in the direction of this perdy red LJ on the lot with 40000 on the clock. Long story short I bought the LJ and never regretted it.....especially after an oblique T-bone (dude ran a red as I was turning left) and still drove it home. 6 weeks in the shop and a new frame and now almost 7 yrs later with 101000 on it now!

Laredo-Alex....It got bent bad enough in the accident that they couldn't get it back 100%. They asked my insurance company about the possibility of totaling it and the ins comp said it was worth too much and to go ahead and get a new frame! LUCKY ME!!!!!
