I wasn't looking for Yellow, but I found a fairly clean Rubicon I could afford and happened to be Solar Yellow. It photographs really well and it caught my eye as something different than the rest of the jeeps on the road every day. When I saw it in person, I ended up buying it.

You've got me thinking I need to blacken my headlight trim rings.

I didn't like the yellow at first but after almost two years I am pretty happy with it.

Got my solar yellow 2000 TJ 3 weeks ago. Wasn’t looking for yellow either but I’ve fallen in love! Love the blackout look. Put a $1k into her already. Replacing my headlight bezels soon to get get rid of the only chrome piece on her. Lots of work to do but that’s why I bought her!

No need to replace the headlight bezels. Just hit them with a $5 dollar can of black Bedliner.

Thanks for the tip! $7.99 later, looks great (to me) and I’ve got $32.01 left over for to put toward those KC lights I want to replace those hideous square add-ones!

Still working on naming her. My wife hasn’t named her yet either but she has a few choice new names for me for buying it! Thanks for the compliment!

Did the POS-15 project today. Turned out pretty good! Still got another 20 hours or so to do it all but I’m happy with how it looks. Hope it makes a difference. Major rust. At least it’ll look good on the side of the trail when something major breaks.

Nice yellow TJ's.
I'd like to purchase a yellow TJ. My father owned a yellow CJ when I was a child. Always thought it would be cool to get the same color.

My wife disagrees.

I'll bet she would end up liking it. It's not an uncommon color but it's unique. My dad bought a used IH Scout II years ago that was a pale yellow and we ended up really liking it.

Agreed. I personally wasn't looking for a specific color, but when you find a TJ with a good frame in the NE, color is a distant second on the priority scale. That being said, I've come to really like my yellow TJ and that's coming from a guy whose last three DD's were white, black, and silver.

If you asked me if I would ever pick a yellow vehicle, I would have said no.
But, when I was first looking to buy a Jeep last year, I ended up buying a Solar Yellow Rubicon after seeing it.

I really liked the black in combination with the yellow!
