Side Mount NATO Fuel Can(S) with complete mounting hardware for JK's

We have begun producing the NATO Cans as seen on the Africa Concept Jeep and I will post pictures of the complete fuel can and mounting hardware package this week of the real thing on my Jeep. These will actually mount and fit in the space directly behind the front fender(s) exactly as seen in the pictures here. I have been working with an engineer buddy of mine from Cali who built the prototype and has over-scene the production units. We want your feed back so if you have any questions ask here.

Here's the first look off the NATO can minus the mounting hardware which is still in the paint booth.

Thanks Y Guy! I really like the color of your Jeep too ha, all kidding aside I get more people who either ask about the color then anything else and how much they love it.

Not sure how I feel about this yet in terms of being a customer, but definitely a very cool idea for those interested!

Out of curiosity, what colors would it come in? And does the fuel can rely on the fender in order to be supported? I'm wondering for those of us with trimmed fenders if the can is too wide to be properly supported or if that is not part of the equation.

Ditto. I've never had so many comments about any vehicle I've owned and the color is the reason why.

I'll be watching as you bring these live, I think they look great and glad somebody stepped forward to produce once that blend in.

It does not depend on the fender,it is supported only by the OEM running board but could be modified to work on after market rock rails. Without getting into to much of the technical end of it, my engineer friend who designed and is helping produce it has a very stable mounting platform base with the stainless steel strapping that holds it tight and allows clearance on all sides of the actual can.

So far as the colors, if someone wants it to match their rig we would only need the paint code from the door and we would only offer it in OEM colors to start. Since its the same automotive paint as we have on our Jeeps the cost would reflect the extra expense of having it painted to match otherwise they will only be offered in green or red.

Definitely interested if I can find a way to mount this on my Rubicon. I don't have steps now but rock sliders are in my future.

We are making these to attach to the OEM running boards 07-16 Wranglers but they can be easily modified (the base) to install on most running board or rail so long as there is a 6" wide by about 8" wide spot to anchor it to.

I get the Red, but not the green. What about Black instead? It's a bit more of a universal matching color. Just a thought for you.

Primer only I think would be cool. There is powder coat guy in town that is really reasonable. I'm taking all my d rings to him this week.

Prototype Fresh Out of Paint

We just got his out of the paint booth were it was shot last night and gingerly sat it down on my Jeep just get on idea of what its' going to look like.

Now, bear in mind the base isn't under it which brings the Jerrycan up to the bottom of the fender instead of just sitting on the running board so the angle doesn't look right but i think it came out pretty bitching!

Just wanting to keep everyone up to date on the progress.

We haven't yet because we are concentrating on competing the whole package. Machining the base today, it's taking a little longer then we first anticipated due to some really innovative mounting configuration things we are incorporating.

We are toying with some different base ideas for the cans but we think we have a winner with the detachable one that mounts with no drilling. Stay tuned!

Will have pics of completed project Friday, it was a headache getting the base mount the way we wanted it but we are there and got our patent pending status.
