I just want to say I love the look and design of this rack better than any of them out there. I hope to get one at some point. May I ask is the back panel customizable? Under your logo is it possible to have the Willys logo cut out?

Sorry, since the cutting is not done in-house....customizing is not really an option because we have minimum orders that need to be placed.

All of our metal products are laser cut at a regional manufacturer on million dollar machinery (same equipment used for big green and yellow tractor parts). The result is a very high quality product with perfect cuts and smooth edges....the personalized products that you see out there are done on Plasma tables with pretty rough results by comparison.

This product looks amazing. Price is a little steep for me but it looks like it is a quality product so I am going to save for this instead of buying some sort of cheaper alternative like I originally planned. I too would love if it was an option to say Willys on the back panel and have the M-PAC logo smaller on the bottom corner, but understand that is not an easy thing to accomplish. Black screws would also be a great option to me.

If I could make it less expensive...I would. The plain fact of the matter is that the "quality" price simply reflects the cost of the components and laser time and labor.

For example, there is almost $40.00 of hardware that makes our rack what it is. The "less expensive" option out there is not using proper shoulder bolts for the hinges, "slam shut" hardware and No Drill components (all top end components)....the push pins, bolts and sheet metal screws that he uses are MUCH less expensive. Basically, you get what you pay for.

Like you....I love black hardware but the sad truth is that it will rust MUCH more readily than zinc coated hardware. That is why we have moved away from it. Depending on the application we stick with stainless or Zinc coated.

The price point is awesome! For anyone say its steep has not done their research. I personally paid 300 for my Rebel Trailgator but it was only because i didnt want the holes and no drilling. This Drop gate is awesome and awesomely priced. Love to have one however I already have the rebel.

Great product.

Are there any issues using this with a rear security trunk like the Tuff rear security enclosure?

We have not seen much interest out of the TJ crowd....if you want to start a thread and rally some buyers, we could do a special run. I would need at least 20 people willing to pay in advance and willing to wait about 3 months.

I have to get payment in advance since we still have a pile of JK manual straddles that we built on a promise alone....most everyone on the list stiffed us in the end. The boss has never let me live that one down

Price would be the same, $165.00 plus shipping. The rack would be pretty much the same, dimensions would obviously be different and the rack would require drilling for the TJ.

Hi Springtail, have researched everything and ready to pull trigger. I see this thread is a couple months old but is there a discount for forum members? I'm looking for the table + pouches shipped to 77578.

Thanks in advance.

All of the discounts are on the "specials/Combos" page....they generally represent a 20% discount all of the time. Much better than most "forum specials" and GBs.

The website will calculate your shipping before you need to commit to purchasing.

Here's the combo deal (sorry...we had to raise the price a bit due to an increase in materials cost)

Since we belong to a fair amount of forums we do not offer a specific discount for each forum (For our sanity). Instead we have the specials/combo page which generally represents a 20% discount on most products. This is usually a lot better than the 5-10% offered as forum discounts. The deals run almost continuously so you don't have to rush to get a decent buy.

That is our products on eBay....the only reason that we sell on eBay is because of their magnificent International shipping program (Really impressive rates), if you are in the USA, it is a better deal to buy direct from the website.

I got mine in Sept. Works great! My only issue is the clips to hold it on are not very durable.

Is the $208 price still going for forum members for the combo with bags? I have been looking at a few different brands and really like this one the best so far!

This looks awesome...

... but since I bought a JK Willys this Christmas, the springtail table will have to wait until next Christmas!

I've been rocking this setup for almost 3 years now (black bag for "Stuff" and an orange back for first aid kit) and it's been nothing short of phenomenal. Snow, rain, beating sun, the bags are solid and the rack itself hasn't budged one bit.

Yes and No....

We have a few new designs that we have been playing with in preparation for the new JL BUT we can't do much more until our JL comes in in about 6-8 weeks. The house rule is that all products must be designed and tested in vehicles we own and drive daily.

The rear door of the JL is completely new with the opportunity to at least mount the upper part of the rack directly to factory threaded holes. The bottom mounting will remain a mystery until we take that door apart to see what is underneath.

Expect that it will still be no drill mounting (probably way easier), similar table size and grid. Hoping to keep it in the same price range as the JK....not seeing many indicators that would put it out of that park at this time.

We are testing out some different latches....looking for something easier to assemble and a bit more conventional than the index plungers. If we go that way, will lose the one handed "slam shut" feature though. Not sure if that is a deal breaker with our customers or not.

I will keep the JL community posted as we start fully exploring the project.
