2014 JKU Audio Upgrade

I finally have a decent sounding sound system in my 2014 JKU, Olive. I am Olive's second owner. She originally came with the Alpine Sound option and the 430 radio. I started out by adding 2- 10" subs under the driver and passenger seats a couple years ago. They were driver by a Rockford Fosgate PBR500x1 Punch 500 Watt Mono Boosted Rail Amplifer.

Base was covered.

Still the sound was not great. Shortly after that I upgraded to a Xtrons 6.2" Android Head Unit. Sound of mid and highs were improved greatly even with out updating the Alpine/Infinity amp. I loved how the 6.2" screen and radio looks factory to most people. After tolerating this for about 18 month I finally decided an improvement was in order. Sunday night I installed Infinity Kappa 60.11CS 6.5 components in the front and Infinity Kappa 62IX Coaxial Speakers in the sound bar. I pull new 14g speaker wire to the Kappas. I removed the factory amp and mounted a Rockford Fosgate PBR400X4D in it's place. I am very pleased with the sound I now have in my Jeep.

Where did you find the boxes that would fit under the seat?

I can't find the pics of my soundbar. Once installed the sound bar would rattle. I rerouted the speaker wire to run inside the foam the original factory wiring is wrap in. I did not remove the factory wiring. I also installed a piece of dynomat by removing the dome light and apply directly underneath where it sits and reinstalling the light. That resolved all of the rattles.
