2nd AMP not going on all the time.

So I have one Rockville power amp to a ten inch sub that works fine. Later I added another small amp to power a couple 4.5 inch pods on the dash. For some reason the second amp goes on, and I hear a short blip of sound through the new pods, then no sound through the pods. Everything else works fine. I'm puzzled. I've got the outs going from the Rockville amp to the other, and I have the remote power on to both. All grounded. Any ideas?

Dedicated power for each amp? How long is the power run and what size wire are you using?

Yes, dedicated power to each amp. I'm using the VERY thick wire that came with the Rockland for that amp, the other is a much smaller amp, but I think it's like 12 gauge? They are grounded to the same bolt in the Ammo can. Today I played with it and it seemed like when I played with the 5 amp fuse in the smaller second amp, it would crackle and sometimes stay on if I left it just right. Of course one bump in the road knocks it out again.
