Alpine iL207WRA Apple play NAV no sound

As much as I love my new Alpine iL207 WRA headunit. Im going bonkers trying to figure out why when connected via usb to apple play the NAV (Google Maps and Waze) has no sound for directions? Before I reach out to Alpine direct I wanted to check in to see if anyone else has a solution. Thanks

Did you follow this instruction from the installation manual?:

"Failure to follow this procedure will
result in no audio from Navigation and
Bluetooth sources. For factory amplified vehicles switch the
speaker connectors, front to rear and
rear to front"

It's on page 12 (of 16) in the upper/right corner. http://support.alpine-usa.com/produc...M_i207-WRA.pdf

I did not install the unit it was installed for free by Alpine at 4WP truckfest. Does my 2012 Rubi JKU come with a factory amp with the infinity system? I really have no clue, lol. It does say for AMPLIFIED VEHICLES. If so all I have to do is pop the head unit out flip the speaker connectors? Thanks for the link

Mine is an OEM Alpine and it comes with amp. I had a 2012 with the Infinity - I suspect that it was the same basic setup as the Alpine. Yes, just pop the unit and swap the connectors. I did it on my kitchen table so it was easier to find, but if you study the diagram carefully, it'll be a 30 minute job. The toughest part is "stuffing" the harnesses back into place behind the unit. It helps to have a spouse/friend help.
Georgie Boy likes this.
