Alpine In Floor Subwoofer, Under mat?

Ok, i managed to acquire one of these and wanted to know if anyone had hooked it up to an aftermarket amp.....I have the base JK and have a Bazooka tube in and it hits like a champ but i need the room. TIA! Also if you have a wiring diagram as this is an quad coil sub that would helpful.

I saw a post a while back that someone connected one to an aftermarket amp and he liked the results. Problem is, after a couple days he blew the woofer. I wouldn't go over a couple hundred watts and keep the gain low so you don't damage it.

I think the Alpine woofer is a quad 1 ohm woofer so you could buy a mono amp rated at 300w into 2 ohms and wire the voice coils to 4 ohms so it only draws 150 watts. Use a multi-meter to check the coils after you have it wired up so you can match the woofer to the amp.

I'd put it under my front seat of I were you. By keeping it under you instead of in the back, you won't need as much power to hear it over the road noise when you have the top off.

Yeah not gonna run a huge amount of power to it, I have a 2 channel amp, just need the diagram so i know what to tie into the positive/negative on each channel.
