Amp Install Will It Work ?

Ok, so I installed component Polk's in the dash and Polk speakers in the soundbar. Now I am going to install a 4 channel amp to run them. My plan is to mount the amp under the front passenger seat, splice into the factory speaker wire under the carpet, and run to the speaker level inputs on the amp since I'm running my factory stereo (non-alpine). Then, I think I can just run a power wire from the amp to the battery and ground on a bolt to the seat. Does that all sound like it will work? I think by hooking speaker wires to the speaker level inputs on the amp I will not need a remote ON wire? Any thoughts or advice will be appreciated.

I believe you will still need to run a remote wire although it has been many years since I hooked an amp up that way. I know they make a harness that is plug and play that would give you a RCA out to run to an amp. Also, I just installed an amp to the underside of my passenger seat and there was a ground stud on the transmission hump that I used to ground my amp.
