Anyone tried the Select Increments Neo Pod?

Was wondering if anyone has tried this enclosure.
I'm thinking about installing one and then another under the passenger seat if it sounds good.

Seems like a good option for adding bass to the bassless system.

My current set up is a Kenwood headunit (carplay/android auto), and 4 mopar kicker speakers. Since the kicker upgrade it sounds much better, but still missing a little thump.
Not looking to wake up the neighbors just have a little more low end and bump for my long commute.

My other option would be adding this pioneer down facing sub in the trunk. However I surf every day and would like to conserve space for my boards and gear.

My budget is about $400.

Let me know if you have any thought or recommendations!

I havent tried it. But an 8 inch woofer just doesn't move enough air, and I'm not a basshead by any means. It would be an improvement over having nothing but you'll likely be getting just a taste that will leave you looking for another upgrade.

It would cost more with enclosure and amp, but you can fit a shallow mount 10 inch under there and be done with it. This is what I'll be putting under my drivers seat:

Let us know how it works out for you. If this turns out to be good, it would solve a lot of problems for many Jeep owners that want the flexibility of choosing their own sub and amp.

Alright - I just finished my install last night on a 2018 JK with the Nav head unit/ no factory sub...
I used the complete kit from Select Incr with the Kicker amp & Kicker sub. Install went well, and it is certainly loud....but it really sounds like crap. I had already installed kicker 6.5s all around, and they sound like crap too...now its just louder with a lot more bass. Very muddy, no clarity. I wonder if the factory head unit is just that bad??

Anyone with a different experience? Maybe some tuning advice?

Yes. The factory head unit really is that bad.

It's possible you could have an amp set to some strange Xover setting, (try 80Hz and below), but basically you just amplified a crap sandwich and now you have an all you can eat crap sandwich buffet. Play with your amp settings a little, but basically any $150-$200 Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine deck is going to sound a lot better with your new amps and speakers.

Did you ever change out the head unit? Did the sound of it every improve?

No - I still haven't changed the head unit...and yes, it still sounds like trash.
I haven't wanted to spend the money on an aftermarket GPS/touch screen unit.
