Back Up Camera - In and Out Issue

Hey guys, I've got an issue with my back up camera and I'm stumped.. wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I'll talk it through and maybe someone else will see what I'm missing.

First off.. I have two small kids. "They" bought me a tire cover. So I use "their" tire cover.. so that camera was a no go. I'm not quite ready to drill into my bumper.. yet.. so I'm currently using the off center plate camera. I know it's off center (this seems to come up every time the plate camera comes up, just getting that out of the way). I installed the camera myself months ago. No problems for the longest time, works like a charm. However, over the past week or so, I haven't always had video. My radio switches over ("Check surroundings..") but no video. Visual inspection of the wiring harness, every thing looks good. No visible damage, rechecked all connections, everything looks good. I'm assuming it's the video wire, and not a power or ground issue? Does the radio switch over automatically once the code has been programmed? Should I be checking my power & ground instead of spending all my time looking at my video wire? Thanks!

Could be all 3, my camera cut out and it turns out somehow my video cable developed enough slack to touch and fuse to the muffler. A quick splice later and it was back in action.

Fixed.

I rechecked all my connections and I'm good to go. Better secured my wiring harness, I think maybe it just shoot a connection loose.
