Question Cabin Thermometer - Requesting Feedback

I'm thinking of installing a cabin thermometer. My thoughts are to buy this one with a long probe which I can run to the back of the center console in the rear (I'm guessing that's a good place to sample cabin air temp, out of the sun, central location).

Put the display somewhere in the center console (maybe next to the hazard light button? or make a new cut out?)

Any prior experience with something like this?

Any suggestions?

Where & how to connect this thing to power?

Thanks in advance! I'm kinda new to this...

If I were to ever want this I would get a second temp sensor like the one on the outside of my jeep that has the read out in my rear view mirror. I would install a switch so that I could switch back and forth between outside and inside and just have the readout in my mirror as I do now for the outside temp.

Good luck with this project

Unfortunately, I don't have the mirror which displays the outside temp (only displayed in lower left dashboard below) otherwise this would be a great idea!

Does anyone have any good wiring diagrams for the JK? (looking for a power source) Can't find anything reliable on the Interwebs...
