Custom JEEP WRANGLER Computer

Hey Jeep Lovers everywhere,

I wanted to check interest in a little project I am working on. I have started a little side business in IT Products and services and my primary focus is on custom made computers with distinct themes as per customer demand. That said I wanted to check to see if people are interested in scale model Jeep Wranglers with embedded computers inside. IE. A 1/18 Scale model wrangler Like one of these: Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Red 1/18 Diecast Model Car Maisto 31663 on your computer desk with an industrial grade small form factor PC built right into it. Your monitor and accessories plug into it, and it will feature a power button and perhaps some halos for power and HDD activity. See a photo of such a model I plan to stuff the PC into after the break. This isn't meant to be for profit, as I have a lot of fun on these little projects. I don't just mod my Jeep for fun. :P I airbrush as well, so if you wanted yours to look just like your real one, I can make it happen. Just wanted to reach out and see if there was any interest. I'm going to make a prototype of my own to start out of a TJ. Let me know & Happy Jeeping!

So I jumped the gun a bit and voted I already built one before reading the whole thread. While your idea sounds very cool I was actually talking about a custom computer system that I mounted inside my Jeep as an entertainment and navigation system.

Update on the Jeep pico-itx (or smaller) pc build

Very cool! Do you have photos? I have received the die cast cars, and they are great and show work well.

As far as an update to the thread: I am just having some difficulty choosing and sourcing a good motherboard to fit the model that isn't some cheap thing from China. Everything else should be relatively easy. Intel has come out with some rather powerful tiny form factor hardware that looks promising, however the price is quite high. Since I like to spend my extra cash on my house and Jeep, there is little left to build something like this with cash that is lying around. If I do get someone who is interested enough to be willing to buy the hardware I choose, then they can have the first build at no cost, provided they allow me to test it and ensure it's longevity (I will push the power button a lot to make sure it won't fall off or break once installed). That and post photos, etc to the thread.

If there are no takers I'll still make it, it will just take more time before I have the funds to purchase the hardware.
