General audio architecting help

What it do, my people?

So, I have a new head unit; it's a JVC something-or-other, at the higher end of single din.

I'm installing it this weekend... I think I've bought new what's necessary electrically, and I'm sure the head unit will be an improvement on its own, but I can't help but think about what's next.

So, there are cool JK-specific sub boxes. The impatient side of me goes straight to subs. But then I wonder about upgrading what I have; change out the soundbar, dash and tweeters? Add an amp for those?

If you had to choose, what would you upgrade after ripping out the crappy, base-level 2007 head unit?

I'm no audiophile and, even if I were, the Wrangler is no vehicle for high end sound. I just need better sound, native Bluetooth and hands free. Given those requirements, I figure I can do other modest upgrades but certainly don't plan on spending more than, say, $500 (tops) more on it. I've got shocks, bumpers and LEDs to buy! Not to mention the security system I'm building.

So, as far as I can tell, my options are (non-exclusively, but, in my case, sequentially): add sub(s) with amplifier, add 4-channel amplifier, replace stock speakers or wait-and-see. Thoughts? Experiences?

Thanks!
