Good amp recommendation

Looking to put an amp under the driverside dash and mount it up off the floor. Getting ready to raptor the tub this spring and trying to get it ready. I am wanting a 4 channel 300w amp with a small footprint to run 2-5.25" and 2-6.5" I have done a ton of searching and there are way to many options out there. What are some of you running? Dont wanna break the bank on this one but would like something that will last.

I currently have 5.25 kickers in the pods and 4x6 kickers in the dash. One of the 5.25 no longer works and the 4x6 are hard to tell they are even there. I am getting rid of my 10" sub and currently have an 800w sony amp under the driver side passenger seat. The bass is great but not really into the window shaking thing anymore. I want the 6.5 and 5.25 to have a great sound and not distort at highway volumes. Anyway here is everything I have decided on...

Amazon.com: JBL GTO528 5.25-Inch 2-Way Loudspeaker: Electronics
Amazon.com: JBL GTO638 6.5-Inch 3-Way Speakers (Pair): Electronics
Amazon.com: DEI 050320 Boom Mat 5.25" Round Speaker Baffle - Pack of 2: Automotive
Amazon.com: Speaker Bracket Pair for Jeep TJ / Wrangler 1997-UP MTX JTJ514B: Automotive

You need to look for an amp that is 4 channel around 60-75 watts per channel at 2ohm

OR

You could get a 2 channel amp that is about 150 watts per channel at 4 ohm and wire the left speakers in series to one channel and the right speakers in series to another channel. This will still hold the left/right stereo sound, you'll just lose your front/rear fade.

This would be a good amp. They're a very small amp and would be easy to hide. You would have to make sure you set the gain correctly though as it supplies more RMS wattage than the speakers are rated for.
Alpine PDX-4.100 4 Channel Amplifiers at Onlinecarstereo.com

This amp would be another good choice. It is larger but puts out 75x4 @ 2ohm.
Alpine MRP-F300 4 Channel Amplifiers at Onlinecarstereo.com

What is the budget for this amp??

to go with a small amp the alpine PDX-4.100 is your best bet.

if you can mount it in a larger area i would suggest these 3 amps. they are around the same price as the alpine PDX

Thanks for the replies guys. I guess as far as the budget goes I would like to keep it under $200. I like the size and price of the Alpine MRP-F300. Seems to have a ton of good reviews and looks like it would fit nicely under the dash.

^^ For the price, that's probably a good choice. Do you have a wiring kit for the amp? Are you only going to be running this amp or another one also? For that amp, an 8 gauge wiring kit would probably be just fine.

Look at Amp Installation Kits, HDMI Cables for really good quality kits at a good price. I recently bought their 8awg wiring kit and I think it was like $18 or something. I also bought a 4awg kit and it was around $27.

ETA: that's really weird. I typed in the web address and it put "Amp Installation Kits, HDMI Cables"

Knu Konceptz is one of, if not , the top brand out there. the thing i dont like about the alpine MRP-F300 is the way they have the channels set, ie channel 1 and 2 are on the same circuit, so only one gain control and filter for both, and the same for channels 3 and 4.

so if you have speakers with different power ratings than one is gonna be under powered.

Was surfing the web tonight and ran across this one Rockford Fosgate PBR300X4 Compact 4-Channel Car Amplifier 75 Watts RMS x 4 | eBay seems to be a good all around fit for the size and output I am looking for. What's your thoughts?

Indeed!

The fosgate is only rated for 4ohm per channel. Wouldn't match up with the speakers you selected.

Let me know how that works. I am also looking for a small amp just to boost the sound a bit.

It all depends on what speakers you have as to what your amplifier needs will be.

the difference between an amp needed to run at 4 ohms and one rated to work at 8 ohms can change what amp you need,
