hardtop hook up?

hey all. so i have an 02 hard top on my 97. my 97 didn't come wired for a hard top. so i found out that the harnesses for 97-00 are compatible and then 01-02 and 03-06. so i picked up a used OEM harness off of a 98 that included the tail light assembly(which i didn't know was coming with it) from a gentleman in the area. i just opened up the box and it looks like its missing a couple wires etc off of it? it doesn't include a plug for one of the switches for either the wiper or defroster. it does have a red and black 10 way connector all wired up. i've attached a couple pics to help illustrate what i mean. when i bought the hard top it came with all the original wiring, fuses, switches(i already have installed) fluid reservoir & motor. i planned to just use the pieces that that top came with and then switch harnesses. now im wondering if i need to just keep it simple, sell both harnesses, and just go buy a complete kit from quadratec. or can i wire this thing up by maybe taking out my entire rear tail light harness and replacing it with this? i just don't get why theres no wires that came on that harness that are suppose to be inserted into the I/P cluster connectors?

these are the instructions i've found:

since this harness is wrapped and enclosed with the rear taillight assembly, i think the entire harness is different from a hardtop harness kit that you would buy. maybe all i need to do is just replace the whole harness?
