How to Waterproof CB Antenna Cable

I got a TeraFlex antenna bracket for my TJ's rear taillight that holds the CB antenna. I worry water will cause issues if it gets inside the connection between the cable and antenna.

Is this an issue? If so, how do I prevent it?

Not sure what you mean but I have never heard of such a problem. Mine is fine after all this time.

I used a FireRing connector at the stud to prevent that - K-8R18/K-8R9 CABLE for the cable and http://firestik.com/Catalog/SS-34HM.htm for the stud/spring combo.

If it's screwed together nice and tight, there should be no problem from rain.

If you are going to submerge it, then a good wrapping of electrical tape, or find a product called Coaxseal. It's a rubber compound in tape form that binds to itself.
