Kenwood ODB2 and Transmission Temp

I've had my '11 JKU Sport since around Christmas. Came with the base 130 receiver, no BT, no amp, no nothing... So upgrades for that were inevitable.

Maybe I missed this somewhere along the way or didn't ask all of the right questions but after weeks of wavering back and forth I finally installed a Kenwood DNX-829 receiver last night w/ the Idatalink and Maestor. Took my time and got some quality time with my 15 yr old. Receiver installed, polyfilled the soundbar and replaced the rear speakers with the Polk dB651s. Everything is much better and will replace the front speakers this weekend.

The one point of disappointment is regarding the ODB2 readings from the Jeep to the receiver. Most options work great, TPMS, RPM, Fuel Ratio's, Coolant temps but... The transmission temp field is grayed out and cannot be selected. This information was one of the driving factors for selecting the Kenwood over anything else and running a 3.8 w/ an auto and 35's is something that I think is necessary to have.

Maybe I'm just venting and should come to the realization that I'm just out of luck but there doesn't seem to be much information on this anywhere I look. I'll add it to the Kenwood forums also but they are even less informative for specifics like this.

Has anyone else come across this or am I just being overly picky about it?
