Left blinker stays on

Hey, new to forum and need help.
2003 Rubicon: left turn signal light stays on when head lights are on and when I turn them off left blinker will blink and dash light blinks with it but at times when lights are off it works fine. Hope this isn't to confusing. Thanks

That is typically caused by a lazy return spring inside the turn signal mechanism not returning the turn lever quite all the way to its center position. You can verify that by nudging the lever a little further towards its center position to see if the blinker light shuts off.

If that shuts the light off, the fix is to replace the turn signal switch assembly. No worries, the switch assembly is only held in by a couple phillips head screws and an electrical connector. It can be swapped in 10-15 minutes with no technical knowledge needed, just a phillips head screwdriver.

Actually, before you go through the process of replacing the whole turn MFS it's worth just making sure all of your signal bulbs are good to go. Turn your blinkers on and walk around, make sure they're all blinking. If one isn't, fix it and try again.

If that still doesn't work, go through and make sure that all of your connections are good and don't have any corrosion. There's something somewhere in that process that's probably messing up. You can check out my experience with the problem here. I've seen a couple others with the same problem pop up in the TJ tech section recently, too.
