Need advice: 2015 JKU soundbar speakers

I've got a 2015 JKU without the Alpine option. My fiancé replaced the 6.5 soundbar speakers with Kicker 6.5's she ordered from Crutchfield. The swap didn't produce much better sound...in fact, it's worse because the speaker adapters came with tiny little bolts that keep coming loose.

I contacted Crutchfield and ended up ordering a set of Rockford Fosgate Punch series components. When I went to install everything, I found no way to mount the new tweeters in the factory 2.5" enclosure and the new 6.5's would require drilling directly into the soundbar. I'm hesitant to mount them this way because I feel the screws will eventually strip the plastic and the speaker will rattle itself loose.

I've gotten two separate speaker mounting brackets and neither work with this setup. I don't know if I should just send everything back to Crutchfield and keep looking or if there's a way to make these speakers work.

What speaker setups are you running? How did you mount them?

ditch the stock head unit and get some polyfill to go in behind the speakers it makes a world of difference, also dont just do the soundbar speakers do the fronts as well, not sure why your having trouble with their mounting kit its the same setup I used and its still holding solid, although I used red loctite on it while I was doing the install

Head unit: Eventually

Polyfill: Done

Front speakers: Planned on moving the Kickers from the sound bar to the dash.

The nut/bolt set that came with the Miunting brackets didn't leave enough threading to tighten the nut properly so the speaker vibration loosens the nuts.

It's definitely a cheap quality bracket. The set of mounting brackets I got with the Polk Audio speakers were a much higher quality...but I don't want to run crossovers so I'm sending those back.

Supercop, if your plan is to only replace speakers you will be disappointed no matter what you do. But if you have a set of component speakers, put them in the front, not the soundbar. You want the highest quality speakers in the front. Unless of course you go to a concert and watch the band with your back to them.

Of course I do...that way it's like I'm listening to them on the radio, lol.

I'm just going to return the kits to Crutchfield and start planning on a head unit replacement.
