Problem with OEM HU upgrade

I got a 430 REN cheap in great shape to upgrade from my 130. My 130 had uconnect. Now with the 430 I get "Not Equipped with Uconnect" when I press either of the phone function buttons.

I guess I don't understand if uconnect is built into the radio or into the car somewhere else. the same phone functions worked fine before, I would think this new unit should work also.

All the other functions (DVD, Radio, etc.) work fine with the new 430.

Uconnect is separate from the H/U. I can't tell you how to make them talk together as the first thing I did was get rid of it.

Uconnect is a separate module that lives behind the HVAC controls in a JK. It then plugs into the 430.

You did get the right CANBUS speed radio? The radio internal functions should work with the wrong bus speed but uconnect and vehicle interfaces won't.

Yes, it's "high speed". Not sure what the issue is, but I'm suspecting something changed with the '17 model Wrangler. (?)
