Question about wiring up a CB and amplified PA speaker

***I know nothing about electronics, I know just enough to ask questions before I act***

I'm getting a Cobra 25 LTD, link w/specs:
https://www.walcottradio.com/cobra-2...dio-p-932.html

Ill be installing it with the Quadratec 12v Power adapter:
https://www.quadratec.com/products/96080_9801.htm

I began day dreaming and thought it would be fun to complete the install with an amplified PA:
http://www.specotech.com/index.php/p...wnload&fid=661

The Qtec power adapter has a 10 amp fuse. The radio has current draw of 2 amps. Does this mean I have 8 remaining amps to play with and could link this horn it to the power supply along with the radio?

(nothing will ever be plugged into the cigarette lighter)

Thanks for your help

You could yes, I'd stay under the 10amp that the power adapter is rated for unless you like smoke, not the good kind, 8amps would be a safe number to stick to.
(If you click on the install instructions on Qtec, its actually rated for 7amp continuous draw)

Now the PA speaker, do you want to use it to yell at people as you drive by or listen to whats on the CB?
You'll have two jacks on the back for that PA speaker, one does one and the other, well, does the other...

Telling my daughter how much dad loves her in front of the student body when I drop her off in the morning is worth the price of admission alone. Yelling at people on the street, probably not
