Radio sound issue

Hey guys,
So I finally found something with the Jeep that apparently hasn't ever really been answered. Trying to avoid a shop/dealership if at all possible and I am pretty handy I just need pointed in the right direction.
I have an 14 JKU, I have the 130 stereo. All of the sudden the back driver side speaker that is mounted in the roll cage started popping when the stereo comes on, stereo stays on 7 to 8 seconds, playing music no problem, pops again and shuts off.
When the sound goes out, the volume and input disappear, and it only shows the clock, changing the volume does nothing but I can shut the radio off and kick it back up immediately and it runs for 7 more seconds.
Last time I drove it was Saturday, was just fine then.
So far I have pulled the speaker that was popping, still have the issue, replaced the fuse, that didn't do it either and I reset the system by leaving the negative lead off the battery for a bit.
Any ideas, or something I overlooked? I would love for it to just be a new head unit, rather than wiring or something that is going to require an expert.
Thanks for the help!

Sounds like the stereo is shot. Probably a cap on the power board if it shuts down and just shows the clock.

If the stereo is shutting down there's likely an intermittent short. Lucky you. Now you can put a $150 aftermarket stereo in there that will dramatically outperform the stock radio.
