Recommendation for a gps unit

Well I'm tired of my 430 and lack of traffic. Really miss my 730. The traffic apps on my phone are okay but limits use of the phone. I'm thinking of just buying a stand alone GPS device. Wonder how many other people are that anal in that they buy a stand alone GPS unit to use instead of one's in dash unit?

Anyone here have any recommendations on a good Garmin or tom-tom? I want one that has full time traffic, regardless of destination having been input.
Thanks

Thanks

Th

When I was shopping around (about 3 years ago) I settled on a Garmin. Didn't really care for the Tom Toms and the general concenus I got from researching was that the Garmins were a better product. It's gotten some good use and hasn't let me down and I got it on sale for about $100.

Garmin...to me says it all.....the question is how much do you want it to do and how much are you willing to pay?

Just purchased the Magelan. Comes with traffic, 4.3" screen really does the job for under $175

Thanks. Leaning towards a Garmin. Prolly in the 200-250 range. Strange thing, most of their units have been out a while. I can't seem to find a new one.
