Rugged Ridge Mount for a Yaesu FTM 400?

Good Morning,
Has anyone out there used this Rugged Ridge mount for their Yaesu 400 remote panel? Rugged Ridge 13551.16 Dash Multi-Mount Phone Kit, 11-15 Jeep Wrangler

It seems like a pretty good idea.
Thanks.

Might work with some modification.
Description says for 3.6" wide phones. FTM 400 head unit is 5.5" wide.

When I ran a Yaesu in my TJ, I just screwed an L bracket through the coin tray and attached the head bracket to that.

I'm planning to remove the cell phone mount part of the device

Ftm 400

I used a RAM style suction mount over a year now and it works great.

Wow. That looks like a good way to do it.

I used Ram for the 400 in my truck.

I noticed you appear to have a Vector Offroad JKE-Dock dash bar installed. While planning the purchase of a Yaesu FTM-400XDR I tripped across this same bar and got real excited about the possibility of a very clean CB and ham radio install. I am now planning to attach my FTM-400XDR faceplate along with the microphones and external speakers to this bar. I'm curious why you didn't also go this route for your faceplate installation. Also, how do you like your FTM-400?

I just installed the Vector bar and since the Ram mount is working and not visible from the driving position I am going to leave it that way. I do have an I phone and an I Pad mounted to the Vector Bar and I am very happy with the way that works. The FTM 400 is a nice radio after a year I'm still learning about it.

Sounds good. I dropped $200 just on RAM mount items in preparation of getting a CB radio microphone, FTM-400XDR microphone and front panel, 2 small speakers, and a Garmin GPS holder attached to a full size Vector bar. This stuff gets pricey... The bad news is that I got an email saying the Vector is backordered for 2 weeks.

Oh, well, best laid plans...
