Sound

How can I get the best sound out of my tj. It has 4"6" pioneer speakers in the dash factory sub a pioneer head unit and a sound bar. I am definitely not impressed. How can I make it sound great

Check out my Audio system build thread here for some recommendations...

You can fit 5.25" round speakers in the dash with plates available from Nalin MFG

Do a search... there are sooooo many threads about this in this forum; even just skimming the first page of threads, I'm sure you could find some more answers.

Swap out the head unit would be a great start. Depending on the age of the speakers swap those out as well. If you want some boom add a 10" sub with a mono amp if you are on a budget.

I have a JK with the rear seat removed. When the seat is in I put it in the little trunk space behind the seat. It is down-firing so I can move it around at will. Works great for me.

You can switch out the speakers for aftermarket ones to start and get rid of that piece of junk sub under the dash plus get an aftermarket radio that's not junk to start. JBL speakers are pretty good but I run pure kenwood in mine. Head unit, in dash, sound bar and 2 10 inch subs in a probox. The probox fits in behind the backseat but you're losing the very little trunk space you have now.
