Question sound bar? or better idea?

hey i just got my first jeep and ive already got a project in mind. I would like to install a sound bar in my jeep beacuse im really big into music and a good sound system is important to me. any suggestions on what to get? and ive done some research on them and came upon some bad results... if anyone has a better idea other than a sound bar then by all means let me know! Thanks.

I looked for a sound bar in the past too but never came up with a really good looking quality one. All I found was a VDP one and it looked like cheap plastic and I didn't really trust the speakers in it so I made my own sound wedges.

Not the best picture but it's just a piece of metal wielded to the sound bar. Ran the wires down the preexisting holes for the stock sound bar.

Just an idea for you. Makes me happier cause I get to pick out my own speakers instead of ones already installed in the sound bar and I'll know it will last better than plastic.

Btw noticed you just joined the forum. WELCOME!!!

You could always get an empty sound bar and install your own speakers. That's what I ended up doing.

If you have the stock sound pods, I would just upgrade to aftermarket 6.5" rounds in the pods, and 5.25" in the front. Also, upgrading to an aftermarket stereo will increase the power to them, which is a big help.

If thats not enough, you could always consider the skypod install in the header bar, thats probably been my best audio upgrade.

Good luck.

It needs to be air tight and have the correct volume of air space for the size of speaker
