Question Speakers

My stock soundbar speakers in my 2003 wrangler x are blown and i need some new ones. What is the best to put in to replace them? I don't want just a pair of speakers that won't last.

Thanks

Anything aftermarket is decent. I have some cheap $40 Pioneer 6.5" 3-ways that sound great for the money.

I'm going with these when I redo mine.

Polk Audio db651s 6-1/2" 2-way shallow-mount car speakers at Crutchfield.com

There's a non-shallow mount version that's $30 less - I'll have to measure to see if I can get away w/ the standard version.

They're marine rated, which I kinda need with my habits of getting caught in the rain.

i made my own soundbar and put in 2, 6x9 Polk Audio... they sound amazing, but you
will need an amp if you decide on 6x9's.

i also took out the factory subwoofer in the center storage space, and put in a Kicker 6 1/2'' Subwoofer.. that needed a bit of trimming to fit tho..

When you go from the stock size speaker to the 6.5in, do you need to cut around the outside or does it fit even and flush?

I installed 4 5.25" Sony speakers in the front and in the sound bar. That sounds way better now.

I am currently waiting on my kicker 5.25" speakers for the front, and 6.5" for the sound bar.

i went with infinity kappa perfect components in front and rear, beat sounding speakers i have ever heard, worth every penny. i also run an audiobahn immortal sub with a hifonix amp, all running on a pioneer headunit.
