speakers

So I'm looking in upgrading my speakers. I'm going to be getting infinity kappas, but I am not sure which ones to get. For the 6 1/2's in the soundbar, should I get three way or two way? Also, do I get 5 1/4's for the front? Thanks

A 2-way speaker is low and high.
A 3-way speaker is low, mid, and high,

The one thing to keep in mind about Kappas is that they are very bright,
meaning they are very crisp on the high end.
This is a great when accompanied by subs,
and matched with the correct amount of power.
However....
if you're not planning on running subs with these Kappas,
they might be a bit to much on the high end for you.
(they would be for me)
If that's the case,
you might want to look into speakers that have a bit more low end to them.

As far as the dash is concerned:
I'm not sure what size speakers are in your year, but mine came with 4x6 stock.
If your dead set on replacing them with 5.25" speakers,
you'll need a 5.25" adapter plate kit, and need to do a small bit of cutting.
The mod is very simple.
Here's a link:
Jeepin.com - 33-Engineering's 5.25" TJ dash speaker plates

I'm running 6.5" 3-way Kappas in the soundbar and 5.25" 2-way Kappas in the dash matched with a 300w Alpine Amp, and
2 Fosgate 10" P2 Subs matched with a Power T-500-1BD Amp.
(800w tested & certified)

Ok, thanks for the info. I'm not sure what I am goning to be doing about a sub yet. I have thought about it, but maybe something small like an 8", but I want to upgrade the headunit and speakers first. So Would it be worth the extra $20 for the 3 ways?
