Stereo Set-up For a Newb

Okay, this is what I am considering buying right now for my 2001 Wrangler:

Dash Speakers

Pioneer TS-G4642R 4-Inch X 6-Inch 2-Way 130-Watt Speaker

Price: $38.29

Sound Bar Speakers

Infinity 529I 165W (Peak) 5-1/4 -Inch Two-Way Speakers (Pair)

Price: $67.00

Sub Tube

Fusion EN-AT1100 10" Active bass tube

Price: $100.00

I am not really looking to spend too much money, but how does this set-up look? Do I need to buy a new reciever? I have a factory reciever? Are there any cheap ones you guys suggest? Also, how tough will hooking up all these speakers be? Thanks.

Damn where did you find two infinities for $67? Must be last years version or something.

Overall looks pretty good, although I'd lose the tube, they only do good on short high bass notes, you wont get any low long tones and pretty crappy mids. (Based on experience)

I just put Kenwood 6.5" speakers in my soundbar and they sounded good with the factory stereo, but they sound much, much better with the new Kenwood head unit (-342 model). The 6.5" speakers fit in the sound bar without modification.

Not sure if there is an amp in that tube or not but I would think that the factory tuner would not do much with those speakers without and amp. Just a thought.

personally, i would look into a different sub setup. i have heard that base tube before and it was nothing to write home about, but it coulda been because the person that hooked it up didnt know what they were doing

Thanks for the responses. I got the infinity speakers on Amazon. They were normally 150, but on sale for 67.00. The Tube has a built-in Amp, so it should make a difference. I change the dash speakers to another pair of infinity speakers on Amazon. I also but a new stereo reciever for real cheap. It has all the basics plus an AUX jack in the front with a HD Radio tuner.
