Smile Stock newer Radio in 2008 JK?

My well used 2008 JK has factory radio with CD and XM but not Bluetooth. If I can find a new or used (like Jeep 130s) factory radio that has Bluetooth, hands free and any other frills, can I just plug it in to existing radio location and connections? Thanks.

Uconnect Bluethooth is actually a separate unit from the radio.
Its normally found behind the heat/ac controls.
You could add an aftermarket radio with bluetooth pretty easily.

I just can't recommend uconnect at all, I have it and don't use it like many others.

As screwlose says.. The 130 radio needs a external Uconnect module for the Bluetooth, hands free etc.. You can buy an external kit to add Uconnect, but they run around $300.

If you want to stay with a stock radio, the RHR 730 radio has the Uconnect built in and apart from adding a microphone, should just be a straight swap.

Thank you

Having owned a 2016 JKU and a 2015 JK, both of which had newer style stereo units with UConnect (not Navigation), I'm wanting to add same to my '08. I will look into the RHR unit. Maybe that's the trick. Appreciate your help.
