TJ front speakers only background sound

So I have replaced the head unit twice, same issue.

Basically the sound bar sounds great, but the front dash speakers are too quiet to hear anything at all. So when I fade the sound to the fronts only you can hear the background music, but no voices. Depending on the song you can hear some voice but very faint and half the instruments.. like the guitars but no drums. It's odd. The speakers are sony xplods, seem pretty new, wiring is not factory.

So I ordered new speakers, all the speakers on the sound bar are rotted. I got them on a whim thinking of factory specs, and I honestly did not pay attention to anything that was in the jeep. Turns out I was off on everything.

The front has already been converted to 5 1/4 round coaxials. The sound bar has been upped to 6.5" round component speakers, with a 3.5" tweeter, and the small tweeter... so 3 speakers on each side of the sound bar.

I haven't replaced anything yet, but I'm now wondering if it's most likely a speaker issue in the front or a wiring issue.

Solved

I took the head unit out and rechecked the PO's wiring. He had the wiring all backwards for the front speakers. The LF speaker was connected to the LF+, and RF- and the RF speaker was connected to the RF+ and LF-. So it wasn't working correctly. Now it's crystal clear!
