Would this install work this way

Just picked up a 2012 Unlimited Sport, Infinity sound, non Nav radio, Uconnect, w Sat.

Anyhow, I have a amp and 12 pulled from our trade in. I had that system hooked into the factory system of our car via line out converter.

So I wanna add the 12 and amp to the infinity system.

Can I just tap into the speaker wires for the Infinity Sub to run the line out converter?
Instead of pulling the radio and splicing into the speakers wires behind the head unit?

Depends on the quality of the converter. But here's a thread of sub upgrades.
