I’m not butt hurt in any way and for clarification I work with a competent group of very talented who can discuss the salient points of an issue without fabricating statements.

You get all twisted because I posted that XT didn’t deliver based on the information provided which intentionally or by negligence misled their customers. I think that’s important information for consumers.

I was simply trying to determine by what knowledge or authority you know the credit scores and credit limits of the people using this forum? How would your credit score or credit limit effect the experience I had with XT?

It seemed to me that you were throwing out all kinds of incorrect and completely non-applicable information to say that I was wrong.

Then why be so insulting calling people "idiots" just because they didn't agree with you?
I never said I knew everybody's credit score? Simply said, "we all have high credit scores" as in a generality, wasn't meant to be a statement of fact.
I'm sure they're people here with pretty crappy credit and some of us have high credit scores.
Maybe, you're over sensitive and take things the wrong way? Are you a Liberal by any chance?
I'm not "all twisted," I really don't care, I was just trying to give you some insight.

I think what folks need to realize is that companies are merely people and people sometimes make mistakes. Being self employed most of my life I strive in my business to be the best and do my best. However, there are always things that happen and people that no matter how hard that you try to please are never satisfied.

I am sure that there are folks here that have had a bad experience with any given company. Unfortunately there are probably 10 more folks that have had a great experience but you typically never hear from people when they are happy with their experience.

The other factor is that when you deal with a company it is your only current deal with them and it is the most important thing to you at that moment. The company however is dealing with perhaps hundreds of customers and trying to satisfy them all. That is just the nature of a business. As life has it, things happen and mistakes are made. Bad experiences are bound to happen.

I personally have dealt with Extreme Terrain on several occasions and have been totally satisfied with the service and the products. This has no bearing on the OP's situation and I am sorry that it was not a smooth transaction.

We will probably never know the inside details and what happened to create this bad experience. Hopefully ET will see this thread and try to make it right or at the very least use the information to improve their performance so that it doesn't happen again.

Just placed another order from Extreme Terrain and I expect the same satisfaction I experienced from my first order. We'll see.

Tuesday comes; Tuesday goes. No delivery. I search back through my email to find the confirmation and get a contact number for status. In addition to the confirmation I received 7 additional BS spam marketing email..... one of which stated there was a problem with my order and it was suspended until I call them. I frantically called to talk to some idiot who says there’s “no issue” we suspend everyone’s first order and the we randomly suspend orders after the first. He says it’s a part of their “risk management” process. Are you kidding me? What “risk” are you managing if you RANDOMLY screw people over? No fraud. No reports. A $36,000 limit on the card. A 768 credit score. The addresses match. They told me the “issue resolution” team is gone for the day. I’ll have to call back tomorrow but they assure me there is no “issue”. Why the hell am I having to sit home this weekend because extreme terrain “managed their risk” by randomly screwing me? I have now got to call the “issue resolution team” when there is no “issue”

They supply you with deceptive delivery promises, they take your money and they suspend your order.

Bad business. Beware. I’ll never do business with them again.
An observation: You joined this website Sep 25 '18
All of your first 9 post are dealing with Extreme Terrain and their bad performance in sealing with your first order (I assume) from them.
You make assumptions about the repliers to your post in a negative manner.

Having owned a business for over 30+ years I get it but it is my opinion that you maybe are here to just sound off on your agenda berating Extreme Terrain and nothing more.

I think there is an internet term for folks that only bash companies and people. It is my opinion that you might highly fit that description. I pray this great country somehow bestow a better life on you as you grow older.

Nope.

Extreme Terrain did not honor price or their word

My recent experience with Extreme terrain was horrible. I ordered a three bar rhino roof rack for my JL. A single bar arrived. I called and they explained that they mis-advertised a 1 bar as a 3 bar, but they said they would honor the price as it was their error. They told me to return it and they entered a new order for the three bar. I immediately received an email with instructions to return. The email did not outline that I needed to notify them that I used USPS, and it said I could use any carrier. I returned via USPS on my dime. They credited me when they received it, and then canceled my 3 bar order and didn't even call. I waited for weeks as I was told they were out of stock. When I finally called, I was told by their customer service manager that they canceled my order because I shipped USPS and didn't notify them. He told me that they would NOT honor the advertised price also. He said they wouldn't honor the price because I shipped back via USPS and didn't notify them. I couldn't believe it. I'll never buy anything from them again.

What im saying is you knew you needed it yet you waited till last minute to order it. doesnt matter if its in stock and says it will come next day. shit happens. order it with enough time to return it and get another if you know your going to need and going to use it.

So, what's ETs side of the story? Is the customers complaint accurate? Does ET suspend everyones first order?

Good Luck, L.M.
From my recent experience & to answer your question, no.
My first and second orders (on different dates) went through and were delivered on time, without a hitch.

No issues to report on my purchases from ET. Prices were competitive and shipping was reasonable. Product selection had some differences from other aftermarket venders so one had options. QT and N 4x4 offered similar forum discounts but seems N 4x4 had bigger better BF deals.

3. For you idiots that attack because “what could be so critical that caused you to miss the Jeep run?” A bikini top was one item that was ordered and it was necessary because I had a female rider that wouldn’t have chosen to ride in the hot sun all day.

Mystery solved.

So....You post on 9/28 about an order you placed two days before going on a run, then come back 5 months later here to bitch and complain about not getting it on time while also accusing others of possibly working for XT??

And out of all those "critical" items you ordered, the most important one you mention is a freaking bikini top? You couldn't buy a simple cheap hat on the way? Jesus...Common Sense has truly gone the way of the dodo.

I think you owe the members here you insulted an apology.

Many of us have lives, work, kids etc and in this day and age expecting something that you ordered whether it be Jeep parts, kids diapers etc on a certain date that you were told can be understandably irritating to some; others not so much which has been posted here. All that being said, I think XT did right by the buyer by giving 20 percent off, a 50 dollar savings on the gear for the confusion, irritation, administrative problem, etc...

I’m new to the forum but not new to ordering stuff. I think it’s a bit unfair to XT not to note they did right by the customer in the end and attempted to fix the inconvenience. Many companies would say stuff happens and move on. Conversely, I think it’s a bit unfair to the customer to be slammed for taking issue on the date that he was promised (XT admits to this by giving the discount). Some may agree with him and others may not but ultimately it’s his/her order and money.

Well done XT, based on how you handled the situation you just picked me up as a new customer.
So I was in the middle on this one but felt the need to update. I will likely be called an idiot or other names but whatever, I'm married and my wife has called me so much worse. I felt the OP had a point for being irritated but now calling people idiots because they disagree with you makes me realize the only thing that might have made you content is if XT just gave you your entire order free.

You posted on a forum which in and of itself means you expect people to comment and normally you would expect some to agree with you and others not too. In this case, it seems like the only purpose was to slam XT, take business away from them (had the opposite effect on me) and fight with individuals who don't agree with you.

Much like you have the ability to voice your concerns and displeasure with XT, other forum members have the ability to voice or disagree with you. I really didn't see anyone get nasty with you until you started calling people idiots who disagreed with you. I go back to my original quote, i felt like you had a legitimate issue, I understood you being upset about what happened with your cc or their reasoning for being late but I also felt like they did right by you with the 20 percent discount on your order. I truly don't know if anything would have made you happy but continuing to slam XT and the members of this site doesn't seem to do anything but make XT's resolution seem even more legit which I believe is probably the opposite of what you wanted. I'm not a keyboard warrior (though I am a combat veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan), so if you want to call me an idiot for this post, its cool you should have seen what Drill Instructor SSgt Rodriguez used to call me in boot camp back in the mid 90's, but please note just because people disagree with you, it doesn't make them idiots.

Your posting got XT a new shopper in me and I already ordered more in cost than your original order. You had a legitimate issue but going back and forth on this forum seems to have just made you angrier because a lot of people disagreed with you. This forum has done wonders for me in teaching me how to upgrade my jeep and getting me lower prices with vendors than mechanic shops in my local area and I have truly appreciated the knowledge that has been passed along to me. They have also been very open with me when they disagreed with a build I was doing and probably saved me thousands of dollars when i did research on what they were recommending.

I hope at some point you're able to relax and realize XT could have just ignored your comments and concerns like so many other vendors and realize that 20 percent off was a pretty stand up thing to do for your inconvenience. They likely hope for your business again but its understandable if you don't use them again and hopefully you will be able to move on and find another vendor that is more to your liking.

Does XT charge tax in the US? Since it was an online vendor I didn't think they did

Play Nice!

As Diamond said: (paraphrased) No matter your experience with ET, there is no reason at all for calling the folks who disagreed with you idiots. I believe that is one of the worst problems we face as a country; "if you disagree with me, you'e obviously and idiot". We SHOULD be able to disagree, WITHOUT being disagreeable. For what it's worth, I've been fairly happy with ET orders. But this issue is mainly about civility. Seems to be a dying art.
