Extreme Terrain is a garbage

Fool Me Once: I purchased Sliders from ET almost a year ago. One of the spot welds broke off and rattled inside of the rails from the manufacturer. Since they were Barricade, ET was the manufacturer. I opened up the end cap and the metal fell out and everything structurally seemed a-okay. No worries decided to move on with my life.

Fool Me Twice: I bought a Raxiom backup camera kit that worked with the factory Head Unit. I read a couple reviews seemed like a great alternative to the Pioneer backup light cam option. Got it installed it (I've done several of these installs so I'm confident in my ability to do this right) and the picture was poor. Like dog shit. When I messaged ET they wanted to see photos of the Raxiom image. They said they wouldn't stand behind they're product even though the performance was poor because it was installed. There is no way to test your image prior other than installing. You see the caveat is they don't return anything installed, which is everything they sell.

Fool Me Three Times: I ordered a Mopar CB Antenna kit. It was packed in a glorified Garbage bag. There was a hole and road rash so bad on the wire it was exposed. When I called them to handle the situation they asked me what I wanted to do. I told them I wanted them to expedite shipping and send me a new one before Friday. It's Tuesday. They said they couldn't do it due to the weather. Then the woman "Vicki" Said, "Sorry Mopar packed it insufficiently". This just fueled the fire. They didn't improperly package anything. I'm so pissed off right now. I'm not asking for anything but just shipping. That's like internet commerce 101. E-Autogrilles shipped stuff better than them... Whatever, So it's going to take up to 5 days to get a Return Shipping label, Then since there is a storm coming It's going to take another week to get back to them and another week to process my refund. Cool Three weeks. From them not properly packaging an item and I don't have what I need for the ride that I'm going on that I bought the thing for.

Anyway thanks for listening I needed to vent. I know itís petty but come on man.

Shame on me.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like I will be taking them off of my browse/buy list of Jeep Parts dealers. Just removed their bookmark from my bookmark bar. Mac-History.

It seems to me that younger folks like to buy online.

As an old buzzard, I much prefer to buy face to face. That way if the product I purchase is faulty, I can deal with the issue face to face.
If I buy online, which I do from time to time, I like to use Amazon Prime. Then if there is an issue, I have a recourse.

For item #3, I'm not so sure your issue is with ET, I think it might be with the shipping company. Granted, if the item was boxed, the damage would most likely not have happened. Also consider, if the shipping company took reasonable care, the item wouldn't have been damaged either, even though the packaging was questionable.

Why wouldn't you buy a MOPAR part from your local dealer?

Good Luck, L.M.

Yep, small stuff like that, I’d definitely go with Amazon. Super fast and returns are even easier.
